FROSTBURG — Nine members of the Mountain Ridge High School cheerleading squad had an awful lot to be thankful for this year.

Seniors Justice Combs, Emily Kaschenbach, Saylor Miller, Lindsay Strawderman and Rebecca West, along with juniors Leah Boggs, Eliza Duncan, Isabelle Duncan and Jenna Yates, recently attended the Varsity Spirit Spectacular at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla.
The trip was between Nov. 19 and Nov. 22, just before the start of the Thanksgiving break. The nine cheerleaders had previously been selected as Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) All-American Cheerleaders.
At Disney, they were invited to perform as part of a select group of cheerleaders from around the country. The cheerleaders helped to spread holiday cheer to park guests with an exclusive parade performance in the Magic Kingdom.
