Lawn mower racing opens at Ellerbe
ELLERBE — Austin Faircloth won the Junior kids’ division and Andrew Haircloth took first in the Senior kids’ division on the season-opening night of lawn mower racing at Ellerbe Lions Club Speedway.
Hannah Griffin was second and Dylan Robinson placed third in the Junior kids’ division, while Jay Hunt and Parker Griffin took second and third, respectively, in the Senior kids’ category.

Charles Ford led SP division competitors, followed by Chuck Stephenson and Darren Honeycutt.
Derrick Robinson took first in the BP division, while Josh Johnson was second and Rex Crouch Sr. placed third.
Derrick Robinson also won the FXT heat, with Andy Clabough finishing second and Cori Cox finishing third.
In the Mini Late Models, Taylor Clabough was first and Drew Clabough finished in second place.
The next scheduled race date is April 25.
