BBQ, stew fundraiser set for Feb. 1

LEDBETTER — The University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona will host Super Bowl XLIX beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1.

American Legion Post 147 will bring its barbecue and Brunswick stew to your tables on Sunday, Feb. 1, in time for the Super Bowl that evening.
For several hours before that, area barbecue and Brunswick stew aficionados can prepare for their parties surrounding the big game by supporting a fundraiser at American Legion Post 147.
There, volunteers will be cooking all day. Fresh-chopped barbecue will be sold at $7 per pound and Brunswick stew will be sold at $7 per quart.
