Registration for Upward Soccer for grades K5-6 and Hard Pitch Soccer for grades 7-8 is now open at Cheraw First Baptist Church through December 1.
To register for Upward Soccer, registration forms are available at the church office, located at 126 Greene St., Monday-Thursday between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. To register for Hard Pitch, call the church office at 843-537-3863.
For the Upward Soccer program, a unique drafting system creates balanced teams, and all participants must attend one soccer evaluation. Soccer evaluations will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6 with a supplemental evaluation scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 9.
Registration is $52 per child. Soccer shorts are optional at a cost of $14. Need-based scholarships are available. Please contact the church office for availability. There is a registration discount for multiple siblings that participate. This is an indoor league, and all practices and games will be held inside the church’s Family Life Center, located at 126 Greene St. The first practice of the season will be held Saturday, Jan. 10 with the first game scheduled Saturday, Jan. 24. The awards ceremony will be held Friday, March 20.
