ROCKINGHAM — Washington Street faculty and staff recently enjoyed a day on Hitchcock Creek.

The group started its morning at the Roberdel access with 17 kayaks in the water. All 17 kayaks made it safely to Steele Street although some of their passengers were a little more wet than others.

Third grade teacher Nan Freeman shared, “I had a fantastic time. It was an adventure with friends, not just co-workers.”

The group enjoyed hot dogs and hamburgers afterwards and spent some time laughing and relaxing to end the school year.
