MOUNT SAVAGE — Bill Shreve, for one, sure didn’t seem to have a grip problem.

Shreve, 47, of Cumberland, was one of eight hearty souls to start and finish 24 holes of Saturday Morning Tag League at Mile Lane Disc Golf in Mount Savage. He led the field with an 11 under par 63, which included 10 birdies and an eagle. Shreve was bogey-free until the final hole. He retained the No. 1 tag he earned in Week 9.

Ethan von Hagel, 21, of LaVale, and Scott Mallery, 55, of Mount Savage, tied for second in the steady rain. Each player carded a 66. Mallery tallied 13 birdies to von Hagel’s 10.

Hagerstown residents Gordon Cox, 49, and Richard Smith, 50, tied for fourth as each finished with a 68. Nic Davies, 26, of Mount Savage, placed sixth with a 69 and Sam Wolodkin, 21, of Frostburg, placed seventh with a 70.

Anthony Miller, 36, of Mercersburg, Pa., threw under par for the first time at Mile Lane. He finished with a one under par 73.
