Starting at 10 a.m. on May 14 and twice each month through Oct. 24, disc golfers can play for $5 for a 24-hole experience, including 12 from the blue (short) tees and 12 from the red (long) tees. Those competing in the women’s or children’s divisions are eligible to play all 24 holes from the blue tees if they wish.

League membership is available for an additional, once-per-season $5 fee. League membership is not required.

League fees will support an “ace pot,” paid out to those who throw a hole-in-one, and weekly cash prizes for the winner.

League dates are scheduled for May 14 and May 28, June 11, July 9 and July 23, Aug. 13 and Aug. 27, Sept. 10 and Sept. 24, and Oct. 8 and Oct. 22. In addition, Mile Lane Disc Golf Course will bring back the doubles tournament this summer and the Ace Race event on Saturday, Nov. 26. Mallery said the idea of this Saturday morning league is to “complement … not to draw” from Western Maryland Disc Golf league competition, which takes place Thursday evenings mid-March through mid-October.

All skill levels are welcome to play, Mallery said.
