Billy Marlin Williams, 84 of Rockingham, N.C., passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Manor Care of Pinehurst.
He was born on October 4, 1930 in Bismark, Arkansas, the son of Jim E. and Ora Matlock Williams.
Billy served in the U.S. Army and then started his 36-year career with the Seaboard Coastline railroad as an electrician.
Along with his parents Billy was preceded in death, by his wife, Dorothy Rose Phillips Williams, a daughter Susie Williams, and a sister Faye Williams.
Surviving are, his son, Wesley Williams and wife Cynthia, of Rockingham, three grandchildren, Chasidy Ingram, C.W. Williams and Casey Williams; three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Madison, Sophia, and other friends and family.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 13 with Wesley Williams officiating in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home, in Rockingham.
The family will receive friends from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
