Lizzie Ruth Thompson DeWitt, 85, of Lynchburg, Va., formerly of Ellerbe, N.C., passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2015 in Lynchburg.
Mrs. DeWitt was born July 12, 1929 in Montgomery County, N.C. , a daughter of the late Risdon Webb and Aerial Mae Cole Thompson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Chapel of Briggs Funeral Home in Candor with Rev. Jack Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Candor Cemetery.
The family will see friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
