ROCKINGHAM — Betty McIntyre earned top honors at tonight’s meeting of the Richmond County Photography Group.

McIntyre, took advantage of a trip to Tennessee a few weeks ago. She was simply “enjoying the beautiful scenery” when she came upon this bright red barn situated in a field of deep-green grass. Her photo was in line with the monthly assignment “Green,” with a specific ISO of 100.

McIntyre used her Fujifilm Finepix HS10 to capture the image.

“As we rode through the rolling hills, I snapped away,” McIntyre shared.

Each month, group members meet — normally at the Arts Richmond building on East Washington Street — and share 8 x 10 images of the monthly assignment. Members then vote on each photo on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score. The photo with the high score wins monthly bragging rights. A future exhibit of the photos voted as best presented will be displayed for public viewing.

The June meeting also was the end of the second quarter. It was not immediately clear who won the quarterly assignment of “Smile – Fill the Frame.”
