ELLERBE — The field has increased by one, and so it is that the Hot Mamas Softball League gears up for Opening Day on Saturday, the start of the league’s fourth season of play.

Each of the 13 teams, up from 12 in 2014, will play two games beginning at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., non and 1 p.m., on both the upper and lower fields at Parsons Field in Ellerbe.
Play resumes at 6 p.m. Monday. A full schedule will soon be available.
Last season, second-ranked MoCo’s Most Wanted beat out No. 4 Chix with Stix for the championship.
