A 36-year-old Hamlet man was arrested on June 10 on suspicion that he had had inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile.
George Edward Eldridge, of West Hamlet Avenue, was charged with first-degree sex offense and indecent liberties with a minor, both felonies. Eldridge was ordered held in the Richmond County Jail on a $100,000 secured bond.
Eldridge is scheduled to appear on Thursday in Richmond County District Court.
