Early application has advantages

netcCHERAW, S.C. — New or returning students planning to attend Northeastern Technical College this fall should apply by June 30 to receive the benefits of early registration.

Applying early qualifies new students for an invitation to the Student Orientation Accelerated Registration (SOAR) program, offering students the first selection of high demand classes, and access to a larger inventory of used books in the bookstore.

To apply, students must complete and submit their NETC admission and financial aid applications. NETC applications can be completed online by visiting www.netc.edu and clicking on “Enrollment for New Students” under the Admissions tab.  Applications are also available to download on the Admissions page or by visiting one of NETC’s campuses in Pageland, Cheraw, Bennettsville or Dillon.

Financial aid applications are available by visiting www.fafsa.ed.gov. More information about financial aid is available to NETC students by visiting www.netc.edu and clicking on Financial Aid or by calling the Office of Student Financial Assistance at 843-921-6939.

All new students who complete the admission and financial aid process by June 30 will be invited to attend SOAR, an early registration program designed by Student Services.

During the SOAR session, students will meet with an academic advisor, sign up for classes for the fall semester and pay enrollment and tuition costs. Identification cards and parking stickers will be assigned once the necessary fees have been paid.

Students will also take a tour of the campus and have the opportunity to meet with Student Services staff to ask questions and become familiar with available campus resources.

Fall semester classes start August 17. For more information about NETC or early registration, visit www.netc.edu or call NETC’s Admissions Office at 843-921-6933 or 1-800-921-7399.
