CHERAW, S.C. _ The Cheraw Arts Commission will present two Drama Camps July 13-16. Instructor for these camps is Jessica Caraway. Both camps will be held at the Theatre on the Green in Cheraw. Registration is required for the camps. Deadline to register is July 9. Registrations will be held at the Cheraw Community Center, 200 Powe St.
The morning session is I’ll Tell You A Tale Summer Drama Camp from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon for ages 10-18. During this four day dramatic arts camp, students will explore acting through various activities, while also breathing new life into roles from classic tales from literature. Expect a week filled with excitement, energy, and creativity, ending with a theatrical showcase on the last day of camp. Fee for the camp is $35.
We Are Stars !!! Special Needs Drama Camp will be held in the afternoon from 1:00 pm until 2:00pm. Students will discover acting through a variety of creative and exciting activities. On the last day of camp there will be a mini-showcase This camp is open for children ages 5-18 years old. A parent/adult caregiver must stay with child during camp activities each day. Any type of special needs is encouraged and welcome. This is a free camp, but registration is required by July 9.
