
The featured artist is Taylor Chestnut who is a Cheraw native and recent graduate of the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities. She is the daughter of Elizabeth and Jason Chestnut.
Taylor will attend the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in NYC this fall. She has pursued her interest in fashion during summer workshops at Savannah College of Art & Design in Jewelry Design classes and Fashion Accessory Construction with instructors of FIT. Her last semester at the Governor’s school included metal concentration.
The exhibit will feature fashion accessories, visual art and fine art that includes paintings, drawings, metal work and ceramics. Taylor’s artwork will be displayed during the month of June. The Burr Gallery is located at the Cheraw Community Center- 200 Powe Street and is open Monday–Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm.
