SOUTHERN PINES — For many years, Santa has enjoyed a vacation home in Foxfire where he could relax and play golf.

Foxfire has also been a prime location for Santa to participate in the annual Festival of Trees to benefit Sandhills Children’s Center in Southern Pines.  The annual festival is held in November at the Carolina Hotel in Pinehurst.

For years Santa has delighted young Festival-goers and spent many hours listening to Christmas wish lists.  It is with a heavy heart that organizers of the Festival of Trees bid farewell on May 7 to Santa at a breakfast at Sandhills Children’s Center.

Santa has sold his house in Foxfire and will now spend his vacation time (and golf) in Texas.  Santa will be missed by young and old alike.
