Ribbon-cutting for Pattan’s Downtown Grille

ROCKINGHAM — Tim Pattan, his wife and children were supported by family and dozens of friends and patrons of Pattan’s Downtown Grille, Rockingham’s newest eatery.

Pattan, creator of Pee Dee River Swamp Sauce, made the announcement of plans to open the store at Hitchcock Place across from Discovery Place KIDS in November 2014.

The restaurant celebrated its grand opening on May 11 with a Richmond County Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony. Dignitaries included Rockingham Mayor Steve Morris, chamber board members Terry Lewis, Amy Guinn, Chuck Cobb, and Emily Tucker, chamber president, along with County Commissioner Kenneth Robinette, Rep. Ken Goodman, former state Sen. Gene McLaurin,
