Raiders baseball grabs 12th seed in 4A West

Softball takes No. 5 seed

The North Carolina High School Athletic Association have put the Richmond Raiders at the No. 12 seed for the Class 4A regional tournament.

Raiders_logoThe Raiders (14-7) will face No. 21 R.J. Reynolds in first-round playoff action and host the Winston-Salem-based Demons at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The NCHSAA softball bracket has the Raiders ranked fifth with a 17-3 record. They’ll face No. 28 South Mecklenburg (8-9) at 7 p.m. Tuesday at home.

With an 8-8-1 record, the Raiders’ girls soccer team earned the No. 22 seed and will play at No. 11 Jay M. Robinson at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
