ROCKINGHAM — The recipients of the 2015 Richmond Educators’ Memorial and Scholarship Fund are Olivia Haley and John Pittman.
Olivia has been selected to receive a $250 Teacher Recruitment Grant from the members of Tau Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International. Members of this chapter are active and retired women educators from Anson and Richmond counties in North Carolina.
John has been selected to receive $100 from the Richmond Educators’ Memorial and Scholarship Fund.
Since 1974, funds which provide these scholarships have been donated in honor or in memory of outstanding educators or supporters of education in Richmond County. It is sponsored by the Richmond County Unit of the North Carolina Association of Educators.
