Obituary: Willie ‘Billie’ Moss

ROCKINGHAM, N.C. — Mrs. Willie (Billie) Moss, 86, of Rockingham, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Hamlet House.

She was born December 3, 1928 in Anson County, a daughter of the late Amos William and Autie Hathcock Garrett.

Mrs. Moss was a member of West Rockingham United Methodist Church and retired from Carolina Paper Mill.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Carroll Moss in 2005.

Surviving, daughters, Denise M. Smith and husband Tad of Rockingham and Carol M. Ray of Rockingham; trandchildren, William M. Pence and wife Jennifer, Matthew Pence, Payton Smith and Haley Ray Norton and husband Gary; Great-grandchildren, Evan and Maura Malarkey, Savannah, Juliette and Anabelle Pence and Makayla Norton; a brother, Tom Garrett of San Diego, Calif.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 14 at Richmond County Memorial Park with Rev. Ben Horton and Rev. Don Dawkins officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m .to 8 p.m. Monday at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham.
