ROCKINGHAM, N.C. — James Bulow Biddix III,79, of Rockingham, died Monday, April 6, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
He was born January 11, 1936 in Anson County, a son of the late James Bulow Biddix, II and Ella Kelly Biddix.
Mr. Biddix served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. He was a self-employed carpenter and later in his life he taught carpentry for 10 years at Anson County Schools.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Winona Biddix of the home; children, James B. Biddix IV, Mary B. Williamson and husband Bob and Martha B. Gardner and husband Roger; grandchildren, David Williamson of Raleigh, Gene Gardner of Rockingham, Lesile Williamson Quick and husband Matthieu and great grandson Noah and Keri Daly and great grandson Nathan McBride. Also his dog companion Sadie.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 9 at Crestview Baptist Church with Rev. Robby Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Crestview Baptist Church in the fellowship hall and at other times at his home 343 Dockery Road in Rockingham.
