Letter: McShane’s departure makes me appreciate Miranda

To the Editor:

The recent resignation of  Hamlet Depot and Museum Manager Chuck McShane, after four months on the job, makes it clear how much we miss Miranda Chavis who held that position for over 28 months before resigning. How sad that his tenure was so short. Ms. Chavis, on the other hand, was extremely dedicated to the job and contributed to the planning and strategy necessary for the museum to grow and excel.

letter_logoMr. McShane’s brief stay on the job is quite a disappointment. While he leaves for greener pastures, we would have hoped he would have stayed the course for at least one year.

Ms. Chavis, however, was a committed veteran who gave her blood, sweat and tears to our treasured museum.  You will not find anyone who had her love and dedication for Hamlet.
