Born William Joel Covington III on Nov. 8, 1977, the Rockingham native became an American sensation and rising country music sensation when he placed eight on Season 5 of “American Idol.”
It’s good to know Covington, 37, doesn’t forget where he comes from and enjoys a return to his hometown.
Covington obliged when asked to take his picture and approved when he learned the photo as to be submitted to The Pee Dee Post. Turns out he’s a fan.
Well, Mr. Covington, right back at ya.
