Jerry Wayne Wilson, 45, of Whippoorwill Lane in Hamlet, N.C., died Monday, March 9, 2015 at Sandhills Regional Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 13, 1970, in Richmond County, son of Steve and Polly Brown Wilson.
Jerry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was employed at Unum.
He is survived by his children, Tori and Cody Wilson both of Rockingham; his children’s mother, Debra Wilson of Rockingham; his parents, Steve and Polly Wilson of Rockingham; his companion, Leslie Stewart of Hamlet; and brothers, Aaron Wilson of Hamlet and Steven Wilson of Delaware.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 12 at Maple Street Free Will Baptist Church. At other times the family will meet at the home of his parents, 664 Richmond Road Ext., Rockingham.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Friday, March 13 at Maple Street Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Darwin Cook and Rev. Mike Rankin officiating. Burial will follow at Northam Cemetery, Rockingham.
Harrington Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Wilson family.
