Ramsay, Newton earn bid to Beta Club nationals

GREENSBORO — Freshmen Skylar Ramsay and Matthew Newton led a contingent of 13 members of the Beta Club at Richmond Early College High School Friday through Sunday in Greensboro.

Ramsay placed first in the state math competition and Newton placed second in the state social studies competition.

Both students qualify for the National Beta Convention, scheduled from June 29 to July 2, in Nashville, Tenn.
