Mary Elizabeth Overby Fertig, 63, of Rockingham, N.C., passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2015 at Richmond Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Hamlet.
Mrs. Fertig was born March 3, 1951 in Jacksonville, Fla., a daughter of the late Jack and Ethel Clark Overby.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Glenn “Little Glenn” Fertig, IV, brother, Jack Overby and sister, Connie Grooms.
Surviving are her children, Glenn (Katherine) Fertig III, of Ohio, Toni (Tom) Kratofil of Rockingham, Russell Fertig of Ohio and Justin Fertig of Ohio; grandchildren, Cassandra, Miranda, Tiffany, Bridgett, Dillon, Sierra, Emily, Cody, Russell, Carter, Austin, Jesse, Joshua and Riley; great grandchildren, Orion and Ava; brother, Robert Overby of North Carolina and sister, Diane Chavis of Rockingham.
Services will be held privately at a later date.
Carter Funeral Home of Rockingham is assisting the Fertig family.
