* RCC, RSHS add to weather-related notices
ROCKINGHAM — The Richmond County Historical Society has postponed its planned monthly meeting for 7 o’clock tonight at City Hall in Rockingham due to expected inclement weather.
The meeting has been moved to 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23 at the same location.
Organization representatives are expecting a larger than usual crowd and featured speakers Tom and May MacCallum present extensive research on the history of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and the genealogy of the men who led the office.
Richmond County Schools
Dr. Cindy Goodman reported shortly before 5:30 p.m. Monday that schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
Richmond Community College
Due to expected inclement weather in the service area, Richmond Community College will be closing at 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 16. This includes all college locations.
RCC will operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
RSHS sports
The Richmond Senior girls basketball game scheduled for tonight is posted until 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The Hive Rec Center
Tonight’s classes at The Hive Recreation Center, Mill Road, East Rockingham, have been cancelled.
