ROCKINGHAM — The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has reported the theft of two automatic weapons that were allegedly stolen from the secured trunk of a sheriff’s office vehicle.
The incident took place during the overnight hours Wednesday into Thursday. There were several other vehicles broken into along the street in Rockingham.
The Rockingham Police Department also received a report on Thursday of a white 1997 Ford F-150 truck with North Carolina tags CAR-5928 that was stolen during the night “from the next street over.”
