Authorities seek registered sex offender

Richmond County Adult Corrections and Richmond County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help in locating a registered sex offender who has failed to check in with his probation officer.

Quenton Leonard Rogers, 24, whose last known address is 714 Lackey St., Hamlet, is currently on post-release supervision for nine months following his Dec. 28, 2014 release from prison. Rogers was incarcerated for failing to register as a sex offender. His last face-to-face contact with his probation officer was Jan. 6.

If you have any knowledge of this offender or his whereabouts, please contact Richmond County Crime Stoppers at 910-997-5454. If your tip leads to the arrest of this offender, you may eligible for a reward.

Rogers was convicted on Oct. 4, 2011 of attempted kidnapping in the second degree. A misdemeanor charge of sexual battery was consolidated for judgment purposes. He served two years in the North Carolina Department of Corrections.
