Swiney’s 21 points lead Rockets past West Hoke

ROCKINGHAM — Host Rockingham muted the visiting Roaring Tigers of West Hoke as the Rockets earned a 47-17 home victory in middle school girls basketball action.

RocketsRockingham moves to 6-0 with the win and has outscored its opponents 157-37 in three post-holiday break contests.

Allexis Swiney led the way with 21 points while Ralayah McRae and Taliah Wall added nine points apiece. Kayla Hawkins chipped in with four points while Keionna Love and Emily Parsons tacked on two points each.

The Rockets have nearly a week off before taking to the road and playing on Jan. 21 at Spring Hill Middle School in Laurinburg.
