Welton Shepherd Allen, 81, of Rockingham, N.C., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015 at Transylvania County Hospital in Brevard.
Mrs. Allen was born July 7, 1933 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Luther and Margaret Irene Smith Shepherd.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9 in Northam Cemetery with Rev. Marty Reid and Rev. James Watson officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
