ROCKINGHAM, N.C. — Mr. Ronald Douglas McFayden, 71 of Rockingham and formerly of Ellerbe, passed away Friday, Jan. 2, 2015.
He was born Aug. 3, 1943, a son of the late Lonnie and Lessie Harris McFayden. He was retired from Perdue, where he was the manager of the Candor Hatchery.

Mr. McFayden is survived by his sons, Ronald Douglas McFayden Jr. and wife Beverly of Rockingham, Lon Andrew McFayden of Wichita, Kan., and John Matthew McFayden of Wichita, Kan.; grandchildren, Cassie McFayden and Evan McFayden; sisters, Helen Covington of Columbia, S.C. and Dot Nicholson of Ellerbe; and a special friend, Brenda Bradley.
Mr. McFayden was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Buford McFayden, Shirley McFayden, Marie Nicholson, and George McFayden.
Memorial services will be conducted privately.
