Allyssa Jordyn Beck, 22, passed from this life on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at Hospice Haven in Rockingham, N.C., surrounded by her family.
She was born March 21, 1992 in Moore County, daughter of Lenny Lamar Beck and Crystal Shy Beck.

Jordyn was a graduate of Richmond Community College, completing her program as a CNA. She loved people and was a great inspiration to all who met her. She fought her battle for six years and was known to be one of the “strongest people anyone could know.”
Survivors include her parents, Lenny Lamar Beck and Crystal Shy Beck, of the home; daughter, Maddison Paige Beck, of the home; paternal grandparents, Robert Gary Beck and Patricia Ann Beck, of Ellerbe; maternal grandparents, Carl Shy and wife Barbara, of Hamlet and Glenda Wilson, of Rockingham; brother, Justin Lamar Beck, of Ellerbe; and two nieces, Jayde Marie Beck and Ellie Rose Beck.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Cordova Baptist Church with the funeral to begin at 3 p.m. Rev. Bill Monroe and Hospice Chaplain, Chris Thornton will be officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Memorial Park.
