McRae, Swiney lead Rockets over Spring Hill

LAURINBURG — Nine different players scored for Rockingham as the Rockets pummeled host Spring Hill 54-17 Monday night in Laurinburg.

Ralayah McRae paced the winners with 16 points, seven rebounds and three steals while Allexis Swiney added 12 points and eight boards. Jadyn Johnson had eight points and Emily Parsons chipped in with seven points, two rebounds and a steal in the victory.

RocketsTaliah Wall had four points, four rebounds and five steals while Madison Jordan tallied two points, eight rebounds and a steal. Keionna Love and Hannah Bennett added two points apiece, while Love recorded two rebounds and a block and Bennett registered two steals. Kayla Hawkins had a point and a rebound in the win.

Rockingham hosts Ellerbe on Thursday at 4 p.m., then the Rockets prepare for their final two regular season games on the road Jan. 26 at Hamlet and on Jan. 29 versus Anson.

Playoffs are set for Feb. 2 and Feb. 5 with the championship contest on Feb. 9.
