Credit Union exhibits photographs of foster children

The State Employees Credit Union is hosting 47 rotating displays of the 2015 North Carolina Heart Gallery exhibition, featuring professional portraits of children available for adoption in the North Carolina foster care system.

Sponsored by the NC Kids Program, an initiative of N.C. DHHS’ Division of Social Services (DSS), the Heart Gallery has introduced a wide variety of people to adoption through foster care throughout the country, helping locate permanent adoptive homes for children.

SECULogo“The Heart Gallery exhibition provides a wonderful opportunity to increase a foster child’s chance at finding a forever home,” said Wayne Black, DSS director. “Each gallery seeks to recruit foster and adoptive parents for not only children included in the exhibition, but those across the state.”

The Credit Union is hosting the rotating displays in branches across the state through July.

The NC Kids Program is seeking six additional host sites for public displays. Each gallery will include 23 photographs, available in three sizes: 14×11, 22×18 and 24×20. Previous galleries have been displayed in hospitals, malls, churches and libraries.
