Suspect held on $1 million bond

Moore County Sheriff Neil Godfrey announced Wednesday the arrest of a Vass woman on one count of common law robbery in connection with a home robber and assault that took place earlier in the week.

Investigators arrested Courtney Jean Gautier, 22, of J Burns Road, after receiving a report filed by a 61-year-old man who claimed Gautier robbed his home and assaulted him.
Gautier was ordered held on a $1 million secured bond and confined at the Moore County Detention Center. Her first scheduled appearance is set for Jan. 13 in Moore County District Court in Carthage.
