SOUTHERN PINES — Sheriff Neil Godfrey is, if nothing else, a man of his word.
When Godfrey announced the arrest of Martaveous Donta Kelly in connection with a June 2013 murder, Moore County’s top lawman promised that Kelly wasn’t the only one who would be held accountable. On Tuesday, Godfrey followed through on that promise by reporting the arrest of Arrington Le’Trelle Fairley.
Fairley, 24, of West Pennsylvania Avenue in Southern Pines, has been charged with one count of murder and one count of felony conspiracy to commit murder.
On June 15, 2013, deputies received a report of a shooting in the 300 block of Eastman Road in Southern Pines. Deputies responded to the scene and found the body of Sean “Pablo” Jeremy McLean.
Fairley was placed in the Moore County Detention Center and is being held with no bond. He is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on Nov. 10.
