A Vass man was arrested by Moore County sheriff’s deputies on Thursday for allegedly running a methamphetamines lab from a Southern Pines home.
Sheriff Neil Godfrey said Jose Manuel Lopez-Rodriguez, 34, of Vass, used the apartment and outbuildings at 1153 E. Connecticut Ave. to manufacture meth. During the execution of a search warrant on Oct. 28, deputies seized items used to manufacture meth, two grams of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia.
Lopez-Rodriguez was charged with the manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine precursors, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a place for the storage of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Lopez-Rodriguez received a $1 million secured bond and was placed in the Moore County Detention Center.
