Obituary: Thomas Craddock

Thomas Edward Craddock, 73, of Rockingham, N.C., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014 at his home following a lengthy illness.

obit_iconMr. Craddock was born Jan. 16, 1941 in Richmond County, a son of the late Charles S. and Remah Hatcher Craddock. He was a member of First PentecostalHoliness Church in Hamlet and had retired from Industrial Sheet Metal.

Surviving are his wife, Carol Morrison Craddock of the home; daughters, Sally Ann Meachum and Christine Benton, both of Rockingham; grandchildren, Nicholas Benton, Nicole Benton and Aaron Meachum; brothers, Vernon Craddock and Marion Lee Craddock, both of Rockingham and a sister, Jewel Dean DiPonzio of Rochester, N.Y.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Hamlet with Rev. Al McCormick and Rev. Jerry Causey officiating.

The family will see friends following the service and at other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 1971 E. Broad Ave., Rockingham, NC 28379.
