The news release states that “when deputies arrived, the house was partially involved with fire and firefighters and EMS were working to revive the victim. Witness said Mabe got her mother out safely and went back inside the house for some unknown reason.”

Firefighters found Mabe located a few feet inside the door, Clemmons said. EMS personnel transported Stogner to FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
