Police: R’ham man broke into car, used stolen debit card

HAMLET — Hamlet police officers on Tuesday arrested a Rockingham man suspected in a vehicle break-in.

Police said Anthony Terrell Wade, 28, stole a pocketbook, a debit card and other items. Wade allegedly used the debit card “several times in Hamlet and Rockingham” on June 29.

Wade was charged with four counts of obtaining property under a false pretense, four counts of attempting to obtain property under a false pretense, one count of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and one count larceny.

Wade was held under a $20,000 secured bond and is currently housed at Richmond County Jail.
