Letter: Pastor thanks officials, volunteers for bike ride support

To the editor:
On behalf of Pee Dee United Methodist Church and 4K for Cancer, I would like to thank the following people for their time and help in making the 4K for Cancer group feel at home: Rockingham Police Department, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office for the escorts into and out of town; Rockingham Mayor Steve Morris for coming out to greet the group of young people;  the city of Rockingham for opening up the pool at Browder park for them to swim; Principal Keith McKenzie and Richmond Senior High School for allowing the group to shower after they arrived;  the gas station located at Rockingham Speedway for the donation of water for the group; First United Methodist Church-Rockingham and Mary Griffith for helping us transport the group to the High School for showers.
All of you made this group of young adults feel right at home and I thank you for your time and your help. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
