ROCKINGHAM — Henry’s Uptown Cafe is bringing a little bit of Hawaii to downtown Rockingham.

Fresh Opah will be available as a special for Friday night diners. Opah, also called the Moonfish, was made available to Henry’s by a Charlotte vendor. It’s exotic, said Henry Antos, cafe owner.

“I didn’t know it’d be that big,” Antos said.

It is. The fish, packed in ice in the back of the store, measured some 3 feet long. According to FishWatch.gov, the Opah was once considered to bring good luck to fishermen because of it’s many brilliant colors.

The restaurant, located at 118 S. Hancock St., is open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. each Friday for dinner.
