Hamlet man charged in stabbing

A Hamlet man was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury after a May 7 altercation left two men wounded.

Donald Brian Robinson, 36, of Green Chapel Church Road, was located by Richmond County sheriff’s deputies in the woods near his home. Upon the deputies’ arrival, Robinson had fled the home.

When deputies arrived they located two males with cuts to them. The victims were treated and released from the hospital.

Robinson was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon and simple assault.

Robinson was placed in Richmond County Jail under a $15,000 secure bond.
