ROCKINGHAM — Rockingham Dragway will host the inaugural True Outlaw Street Drags this Sunday.
For street driven vehicles only, racing will be on the quarter mile and limited to true street driven vehicles; must be tagged — street tires and mufflers required.
There will be five classes, stock trucks with no power adders, such as nitrous systems, etc., and one truck class with one power added allowed. The same rules apply to cars, two separate classes, and one street bike class with trophies given to the winner of each class. The “adder” classes will be permitted to run drag radials with DOT numbers, or bias ply tires (Mickey Thompsons).
Time runs only are also allowed, with no times shown but each competitor will get a print out slip on each run.
Gates open at 10 a.m. and we will be done by dark.
Admission is only $10 with kids 12 and under free. All entry fees are $20 for car and driver, or bike and rider.
The Rock True Outlaw Street Drags is a heads up, true street style drag racing series, catering to the true street racer with limited track prep, just like on the back roads.
