The Rockingham Fire Department was recently approved for a grant to supply homes in the Rockingham city limits with new smoke alarms.
Working smoke alarms cut the risk of dying in a fire in half. Install smoke alarms on every level of your home inside bed- rooms and sleeping areas. Check your smoke alarms once a month, if they’re not working, change the batteries.
Anyone wanting to schedule an instillation should call the Rockingham Fire Department at 910-997-4002. All smoke alarms are free to anyone that resides within the Rockingham city limits.
