Gillespie charged in Hamlet theft

A 21-year-old Hamlet man was charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny earlier today.

Hamlet_policeDaris Antonio Gillespie was apprehended by Hamlet police officers in Dobbins Heights. At the time of his arrest in Dobbins Heights, Gillespie allegedly had in his possession a phone stolen from the vehicle.

Gillespie was ordered held on a $5,000 secured bond and confined to the Richmond County Jail.
