Obituary: Janet K. Wood

Mrs. Janet Keltner Wood, 80, of 141 Gibbons St., Hamlet, N.C., passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at Hospice Haven.

She was born July 10, 1934 in Tampa, Fla., daughter of Connie Miles Keltner and Laura Hardin Keltner.

obit_iconMrs. Wood was a member of First Baptist Church, Hamlet, a loving wife and mother and her greatest attribute a devoted Christian.

She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Wood of the home; daughter, Connie Davis of the home; sons, Mike Wood and wife Shirley of Wilmington and Walter Wood and wife Stacey of Rockingham; sister, Virginia Sudderth of Lawrenceville, Ga.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Hamlet with the Funeral to begin at 2 p.m. Rev. Randy Bishop will be officiating.

The burial will follow at Mary Love Cemetery.
