Everett Spergeon Blue, 83, of Rockingham, N.C., passed away Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Blue was born Nov. 27, 1931 in Richmond County, a son of the late Duncan Emmanuel and Pearl Thomas Blue.
He had served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Green Lake United Methodist Church, where he served on the board of trustees. He retired from Equifax as an adjuster and later worked in sales at the ABC Store.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mozelle Terry Blue.
Surviving are his children, Everett S. (Spergie) Blue, Jr. and wife Mandy of Yadkinville, Teresa Brown and husband Jack of Rockingham, Sherrie McMillan and husband Steve of Rockingham; grandchildren, Matthew Blue, Madison Blue, Taylor Allen, Mallory Brown, Maggie Kidd and husband Colton, David McMillan and wife Nayla; great grandchild, Sierra McMillan; sister, Shirley B. Coward of Round Rock, Texas and sister-in-law, Nancy Traynham of Rockingham.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Green Lake United Methodist Church with Rev. William Taylor and Rev. Carl Vierling officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will see friends from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 pm Wednesday at the church and at other times at the home.
