Obituary: Grace Capps Blue

ROCKINGHAM, N.C. — Grace Capps Blue, 86, of Rockingham, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Emanuel Blue.  Her parents were the late Martha Clanton Capps and James Henry Capps of Wilmington.

Mrs. Blue was a retired agent with Progressive Insurance Agency until 1995. She was a Sunday School leader, teacher, and active member of Cartledge Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by one brother: James Henry Capps of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two children, Deborah Denise Hudson of Seneca, S.C. and Gerald Emanuel Blue of Rockingham; and two grandchildren, Kendyll Elizabeth Dennis of Rockingham and Kristopher Bennett Emanuel Dennis of Clemson, S.C.

A viewing will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22 at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham.  Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Cartledge Creek Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Richmond Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Cartledge Creek Baptist Church, 152 Ben Hudson Road, Rockingham,  NC  28379  or Richmond County Hospice Haven, 1119 US Hwy 1 N., Rockingham,  NC  28379.
